CONTREVERSY SURROUNDIND "VIVIANE" ACCUSED OF PLAGIARISM

The song “Viviane” performed by Cameroonian artist Prince Aimé is making waves again, notably thanks to a renewed interest on TikTok where it has become viral through various challenges. This unexpected success attracted the attention of international artists, such as Ivorian singer Débordo, who expressed his desire to collaborate with Prince Aimé to create a remix of this iconic title.

However, behind this excitement lies controversy. .Prince Aimé, although he is recognized for having popularized "Viviane", is accused of plagiarism by a certain Génie Solo, who presents himself as the true author of the song. In a recent interview, Génie Solo said that Prince Aimé used his work without authorization. Before this interview, Robinson Piffo had made a post on Facebook accusing Prince Aimé of appropriation. These allegations sparked intense debate on social media, dividing internet users and music fans.

Faced with these accusations, Prince Aimé, accompanied by Gato International, a notorious ally of the artist and enemy of Piffo, defended himself in a public statement. He denied the plagiarism allegations, saying "Viviane" was the product of his inspiration and hard work. .according to him, these accusations are only an attempt to destabilize his career at a time when he is experiencing growing success.

Despite the explanations provided by Prince Aimé, misunderstandings persist. .the two interviews, that of Génie Solo and that of Prince Aimé, leave room for gray areas, thus fueling speculation. Internet users, divided between the two camps, express their confusion as to the identity of the real author of “Viviane”.

In this tumultuous context, the future remix with Débordo also raises questions. Who will support this project? Does the situation need to be clarified before the collaboration comes into being.
